Regardless of the situation, no matter how hopeless the outcome may be, I will never quit, and I will never back down. I have become the wolf.

My family is constantly proving to me that they are amazing

My husband and the kids pulled off a surprise party for my 50th Birthday on Saturday.  There must have been 50-75 people here, hanging out, talking, eating, kids in the pool, laughing and just having an all around good time.  Aunts and uncles I haven’t seen for a year were here and a lot of Joes family (my adopted family).  I haven’t laughed that much in years.  I love all of these people so much.  I’m so lucky to have been assimilated into such a wonderful family.  The kids did so much to help Joe set everything up and tear it all down.  I didn’t have to do anything but enjoy myself.  And enjoy I did.  I caught up with everyone and just talked and played with the kids and got so many hugs.  (the bestest part)  I was so worn out that I slept till 3:30 this afternoon.

My little Oscar got so much love from everyone.  The adults think the’s so well-behaved and the kids just Love him cause he’ll sit there for hours to be petted.  He has an ability to make even the most hyper child sit quietly and pet him gently.  They just stare into his big brown eyes and are spellbound.

I’m off to snooze in the chair with a good book and a cuddly dog.   What could be better?

What a wonderful Sunday

Woke up early today, feeling fine.  I guess the new meds are good for now.  Not optimistic, we all know that this can change in a heartbeat.  Anyway, got up early, showered, and got out of the house by 8:30.  Joe took me to breakfast at our favorite local diner.  They have the best food for not a lot of money.

Then it was off to Ohio.  H’s fourth birthday was the end of last month and this was his party with all his school chums and a few neighborhood chums.  L really outdid herself this year.  She hired the local gymnastics center connected to the YMCA.  They had a room set up for cake and ice cream and a room set up for tumbling.  So the kids got a drink, went right into 1.5 hours of supervised tumbling, then back upstairs for cupcakes and ice cream.  H opened his gifts which get’s better to watch every year.  Whereas in years past, he always seemed, as most kids do, to be more interested in the wrapping paper.  Nothing wrong with that, I still love bright, shiny, crinkly paper.

Took some really nice photo’s of the party.  I’ll check to see if I can post them.

I think I’m off to bed.  Need to sleep when I can.  Huggs to you all.
